The Association is a registered non-profit established in 2003, serving as the voice of Waldorf education in Singapore. It acts as the official Waldorf authority, uniting the Waldorf Early Years Centre, playgroups, families, and educators. 

Focusing on advocacy, community building, and educator support, the Association trains teachers, organises programs, and raises awareness of Waldorf principles. It ensures the Waldorf Early Years Centre adheres to Waldorf values, facilitating the children’s growth and promoting Rudolf Steiner’s educational vision in Singapore.

Membership in the Association is open to anyone interested in Waldorf education and anthroposophy regardless of whether they have a child enrolled in the Waldorf Early Years Centre. Many members are parents exploring Waldorf, educators, and community supporters. 

We welcome all like-minded individuals to nurture Waldorf education in Singapore, as growing this community effort relies on passionate contributions from parents, teachers, and supporters alike.

The Association is a non-profit, volunteer-driven community run by dedicated parents and educators. Membership involves active participation, encouraging members to share their skills and expertise. 

Volunteers contribute by organising community festivals, workshops supporting health, education, practices aligned with waldorf and anthroposophy principles. Yes. The Waldorf Steiner Education Association (Singapore) is part of the worldwide Waldorf movement and maintains active links with the international Waldorf community. Our Association is recognised by and connected to global Waldorf bodies.

Through these affiliations, we gain access to international expertise and support, and we share insights with Waldorf initiatives worldwide. When you engage with our Association, you become part of a global community of Waldorf schools and initiatives, united by shared educational ideals. 

This international connection helps ensure that our programs stay aligned with core Waldorf values and that Singapore’s Waldorf community benefits from the wisdom of the broader movement.

The Association organises a variety of programs and events for both members and the public, all rooted in Waldorf-Steiner values and community spirit. For example, our offerings include:

• Waldorf-inspired playgroups for parents and young children, where families can experience imaginative play, storytelling, and rhythm in a supportive group.
• Parent education workshops, study groups, and craft circles that help adults deepen their understanding of Waldorf philosophy and child development (learning handwork, storytelling, etc.).
• Professional development for educators, including teacher training workshops and mentorship programs, to grow the pool of Waldorf-trained teachers in Singapore.
• Community festivals and talks are open to everyone – we celebrate seasonal events and host public discussions or open house days, allowing interested families to learn about Waldorf education and meet our community.
