Our recent event, led by Ching, an experienced Waldorf music educator trained in anthroposophy, opened a gentle doorway into the healing world of Waldorf music. Over two enriching sharing sessions and a two-day “Flow with Kinderharp” workshop, parents and educators discovered how the lyre, Kinderharp and the Mood of the Fifths nurture calm, wonder and a living connection with nature in young children.
Ching guided participants through the threefold approach of head, heart and hands, demonstrating how tonality, singing and movement support children’s healthy sensory, social and consciousness development from early years into the middle grades. Parents also experienced the lyre’s soothing tones first-hand and learned simple practices to bring music into daily home life.
The programme left participants inspired and better equipped to weave the beauty, balance and transformative power of Waldorf music into the lives of the children in their care.
